let me start by saying I'm sorry. Looked through the vid's and docs but cant find some basic stuff. As a support guy myself I'm sure it's here, I'm just not looking in the right place.
Trying to set up a basic group. 3 chars, 1 tank, 1 mage and 1 priest. all brand new chars. I would like the tank to attack then hit a button and have priest smite and mage fireball.
It isn't clever but trying to learn the program. Can't get it done. I have no spells in the database. I found the comment to /gcp export...then the vid says to reload but can't find how to reload. I know it's basic stuff and I'm being dumb, but any help?

We are planning a better index, as the site has grown quickly, and things are getting buried.
Let me go through the procedure step by step.
First things first:
In your profile, set your tank in group tank, your mage in group DPS and your priest in group heals.
To load up spells:
1) Get into broadcast mode (control-enter if you haven't modified it)
2) type /gcp export (you should see a list of spells scroll thru the chat window)
3) type /rl (the reload command you were looking for)
4) open the spells in GCP (click spells)
5) click import
To set up a spell (smite and fireball)
1) click action
2) click spell
3) select the toons to cast (I advise you select DPS in the left list box)
4) uncheck the "all cast same spell"
5) click the "load from spell db" and select a spell for each
6) name the action (e.g. DPS1)
7) click the pink area then press the "fire" key, say F1
8) click OK
When the box about uploading pops up, click "upload"
Repeat the above for any other spells then click "done"
Activate GCP, go into broadcast mode and type "/rl" again. - This will reload any changes.
Seting up healing
Run the "1 do this first" wizard and make sure that you specify your priest as a healer
Run the "heal spells" wizard and enter the heal spells in order that you cast them (mine is rejouvination (fastest), regrowth (middle), healing touch (slow but big)) and set the time out to the time of your 3 spells (multiply by 1000 its in milliseconds)
DPSing
1) select zero healers (press number pad ".", then 0) - this transfers the priest to the DPS group
2) select a target with your tank
3) attack with tank
4) press F1
Healing
1) select 1 healer (the priest will no longer cast on F1)
2) press F8 to heal char1, F9 for char2 and F10 for char3
3) press F8 again - as soon as cast stops, press F8 again, the 2nd heal spell will cast
Choose character to heal with button, press more often for more healing.
Press . and 1 or . and 0 depending on whether you need healing or damage.
I hope this gets you up and running.
