Using the /gcp order toon1,1 /gcp order toon2,2 etc... on the main and the /gcp order dummy,0 on all the slaves did not work. However I disabled all other add-ons and it seemed to work. Just need more time to test as it got too late last nite. I think there is something going on with the change of leader between Jamba and GCP, maybe a look at my macro is in order. Will advise later.

Even running only one toon, I find Quest Helper to be the culprit of lag. It's a very memory-intensive addon. Some of my guild mates report not being able to do anything in Dalaran if it is operating.

My problem is much deeper then GCP
My lagging and locking and some toons getting kicked has gotten much worse. Here is a list of all the things I have tried, 1st off let me tell you this is not a GCP problem, at least I don't think so.

1. Removed Authenticator from all accounts.
2. Removed all add-ons from all toons.
3. Moved all WTF's to a temp directory.
4. Disabled GCP
5. Repaired all WoW's and let them do a reset to all add-ons, fresh start.
6. Ran Sandra to test system and scored a good 16142.
7. Ran memtest on ram. no problems.
8. Checked and reloaded display drivers and Directx9.
9. Tried many different resolutions and fps settings.
10.While loading and watching resource manager I'm getting around 100~200 hard faults/sec most from the WoW programs. Not sure if this is the problem??

11. Tried the old GCP and came back to the Beta version as the problem is not GCP.

Only running into this lag as the 3rd toon comes on, with the 4th they all come down to around 6 or 7 fps and the 5th they come down to 1 or just get kicked. I can watch the graphic sections of the game build and unload during this time, but not even my mouse will work till one of them gets booted.

These steps are not in any particular order, just wrote them as I remembered what I have tried.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, but I'm at the point of just playing single toon for a few days.

The problem is in the way GCP merges the wtf/config files.

If you make a mistake and change something in the effects section of the video settings it is a little hard to fix as your wtf keeps getting merged with the old one.

I think this is the best way to discribe my problem. Now on to fix it.

The WTF files that merge with your WoW one are stored in
C:\GameCommanderPro\<LayoutName>.Layout
There can also be some in
C:\GameCommanderPro\<ProfileName>.GCPConfig

Try deleting both of these.

Yes, I deleted the one in WoW and modified the one in :\GameCommanderPro\<ProfileName>.GCPConfig to just account login info then start WoW put in my settings. But when I go out to the WTF config file it doesn't have all the changes I put into WoW.

ie I use a 75Hz monitor and WoW allows me to put the parameter to 75Hz I get great fps 65~120 most of the time. I set fpsmax to 55 and fpsbak to 20 on my slaves and this keeps getting changed back to 20 and 10 respectively

When I go back into the config file it says 60Hz, and 20 10 for the fps and when I restart WoW it's back to 60Hz, other settings are doing this too.

I'll try deleting the config in C:\GameCommanderPro\<LayoutName>.Layout also and see what happens.

Upon review Here is the series of events.

I played some solo as I built up professions on each so I changed some of the effects and resolutions around to have a better playing experience.

These effects were saved into the WoW config. And each time I would go back to MBox the lag would get worse because they were merge with the GCP config.

As I did this for each toon. I was making the potential problem bigger.

When I went back to playing Mbox style I didn't realize the actual increasing lag problem I had caused, thinking I had changed the effects back, so whats the deal.?

All this looks obvious now. Hopfully this help to keep others from going thru this.

When this happens again could you email me a copy of the WTF in your wow directory and the ones in both the profile and layout directory. Remove your account info from them for security. I will take a look and see if I can find the culprit.

The culprit was that I had not deleted the "Screen1 thru Screen5 in the GCP.Layout and some of the effects info was in there.
