I just downloaded beta version *.18 (I had been using *.15)...
Opening up a crew of 5 that I had created before, I got lots of fun battle.net setup stuff. It didn't quite work: It would pick the right battle.net account and the right subaccount, and "enter" them... but then a pesky black menu shows up for all of them asking me to pick the subaccount AGAIN! I did define the subaccounts in the battle.net setup area in GCP in the same order as WoW lists them in it's menu when I log on regularly.
Anyway... that's not what I wanted to ask about. Prior to the log on stuff, a GCP select box popped up that was titled "Select a Mode" and it had three possible choices:
Full Features
Key Broadcasting
Key Broadcasting with FTL
What exactly do each of these three modes do? And why is there a "New" button available from this window? What's a "mode"? I didn't see anything about this in version's *16, *17, or *18's release notes.

We didn't mean to release this yet, but primarily its an easy mode.
GCP has the most features of any of the multi boxing software products, but needs some thought (and patience) to set up. In full featured mode GCP acts as now, the others present a simpler set of options.
The problem is that other products seem simpler until you realize that multi boxing is complex and that this complexity needs to be expressed. (The others typically require advanced use of in-game macros). In this more sophisticated mode, GCP is actually easier to use.
These other modes allow GCP to be set up as a key broadcaster initially, with the ability to use more features as user needs become more sophisticated. This choice is not a "hard" one, in that modes can be changed at any time.
The "new" is actually using an existing interface element, and the new should not be there!
