It sounds like the windows

It sounds like the windows don't match the characters.

This probably means that, in your team setup, you told GCP something like "character1 in window1" but when you logon, you put character 3 in window 1.

This would mess with follow, and with targeting.

No problem with the

No problem with the layout.

It sounds like GCP is confused about which character is in each window.

Assume your main is called MyTank, and you put that in window 1.

When you log on, you need to make sure that MyTank appears in window 1. If you get a different character in that window, then the sort of things that you describe would happen. When you mouse over a window, GCP has to know the name of the character in that window. It uses that for follow, assist etc, which work by name, not by window.

So:

Recheck your team setup to make sure that the write names are in each slot.
Check that, when you logon, that the name of the character matches what you have in setup.

There could be another issue, but that sounds like the most likely problem from your description.

You have to load each

You have to load each keyboard through windows setup.

Which operating system do you have? - the procedure is different.

In windows 7, from control panel you select "change keyboards". From there click the add button and select english.

mmm - I think having separate

mmm - I think having separate keyboards for each app is probably a windows 7 feature.

Can you do the following:

  1. Start up GCP and your wow sessions
  2. Switch to full mode (click mode)
  3. click views/advanced
  4. click views/keys - you should now have 2 GCP windows
  5. move your mouse over a wow window, and press a few keys. In the advanced window you will see 3 boxes labeled Last Key, Last Special, and last shift key. As you press keys, the contents of these boxes will change. You will also see the keys of the keyboard mimic show green as you press keys.
  6. Now press one of the special keys. Note if any of the keys on the mini keyboard show green. Also note if any of the 3 boxes change.
  7. Get back to me with the result. - On my system, with a german keyboard attached and DE mode selected, I still see the keys, but in the wrong place.

when i press

when i press the two special keys which i need "^" and "´" the keyboard is switching green.

1. Pressing the Special Key " ^ " (Left special key) the GCP key " \ " Switches Green.
2. Pressing the Special Key " ´ " (Right special key) the GCP Key " ] " Switches Green.

Hope that helps.

OK, so GCP detects the dead

OK, so GCP detects the dead keys - it just gets the position wrong. You can simply map to the keys that GCP thinks it gets.

i.e touse the "^", map to "\"

There is, however, a catch. You won't be able to broadcast these keys. You can create a spell, create a command or use a spell sequence with these keys. You can also do a pseudo broadcast. Here's how:

  1. Switch to "full" mode. (use mode)
  2. click views / advanced
  3. click add
  4. give the command a name (say "MySpecialBroadcast")
  5. enter the following in the window that pops up:

     <<All>>
     hit X

  6. click save
  7. click "save commands"
  8. now go to the key mimic views/keys
  9. NOTE: the key mimic has "advanced" checked - this allows you to allocate special commands to keys
  10. click a blank (grey) key - you will now see a list of commands (including the one you made)
  11. Select the command ("MySpecialBroadcast" in my example)
Congrats - you just made your first GCP command.

To explain, the <<All>> means send all following commands to all characters, hit X sends an "X" (to all characters because of the <<All>>).

You can change <<All>> to be the name of a toon - e.g. <<NeHunt>> (then only that toon will get the "X")
You can change the "X" to any other character - to send a shift key precede with +, control ^ and alt % e.g. Hit ^X sends control-X
You can even send different keys to each character:

<<NeHunt>>
Hit X
<<NeHeal>>
Hit +Y

NeHunt gets "X"
NeHeal gets Shift-Y

If this doesn't make sense, get back to me and I'll go through it with you on remote session

Phil
