Hello,

Newcomer here, I am not finding good info on the best way to purchase multiple accounts for WoW and what the cost is.

I assume it is $20 each account to start, looks like $70 to upgrade each account to the latest expansion.

$15/mo per account after that.

What is a b.net sub account? Is that cheaper than creating two b.net accounts?

If I use the refer a friend option on myself (if thats possible) to get extra exp, does that go under a sub account or seperate b.net accounts?

I have heard there is no limit to the number of 10-day trial accounts I can create for testing, I guess I just use a new b.net account for each...

Hi

Unfortunately there is no discount for battlenet accounts. It's $15 per account. I use one b.net account with sub accounts so I only have one password, but it's down to personal preference.

If you use RAF, you do get a discount (I think it's a free month for each end) - make sure you start with one account, invite the next, and from that invite the next and so on.

It's best to shop around for the game, but there isn't that big a price difference between most places.

The $20 each is about right, and yes there are 2 expansions. You can by a package with the game and the first expansion (called battle chest or something), but I'm not sure if its any cheaper these days (it was when I got my accounts, so I bought 5 @ $40 each - my wife had a cow!)

The latest expansion is always $40. This drops as soon as the next one comes out.

Currently I would get the best price for the base game and burning crusade. By the time you get to level 68, wrath may have dropped in price.

RAF is available - you can send invites to yourself. This is an excellent way to boost leveling for new accounts. You won't believe how fast you level!

I had a problem with them only allowing 4 trials per e-mail, but not sure if that is still an issue - I had to use 2 e-mails for the 5.

Anyway - good luck with this.

Phil
