I've done a search for this subject but struggled to narrow it down to a useful answer so here goes. Am I right in assuming that to use the in game chat option so the keyboard works as a keyboard without binded keys I have to Disable GCP or unbind any letter keys that are bound! If this is not correct can somebody explain how to set up GCP so that there is no need to do anything apart from play the game and type without interruption! Game is World of Warcraft and as an example I use Guild chat etc Also for info an error I come up against would be pressing g key but shows as 6 in chat line ie switch bind
Hope you understand the explanation but for more info just ask. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Read your post and the penny dropped Light went on and Eureka and then Bugger. Yep I did read that at some point. Only just started with GCP and with all the setting up etc I just plain forgot the basics. Thanks

Hi Ammo,
By Pressing the Enter key the system goes into Passthrough mode. You will see the bar say Passthrough Mode is enabled.
When in passthrough mode all keys will no longer be intercepted by GCP (with the exception of left shift for some reason).
When you are ready to go back to playing press the ESC key.
This is helpful if your chat button is Enter (which it is by default) that way you dont even have to remember to enter passthrough mode when you want to chat. You just press enter, start typing.
As for the Left Shift key issue, I noticed it still picks up the left shift key after using your mouse, like to click and turn your character, or anything that brings WOW to the front and causes the GCP bar to go behind it. I think this is a bug.
