Hi, I am new to all this multiboxing but not new to computers in general. My problem is rather simple. I have two accounts. Main account is a Paladin i am trying to level. Second is a Mage doing the same thing. I have tried to set up an attack for my Mage,(fireball) bound to a key whilst controling the Paladin in my main window and handling aggro and whatnot. Under actions and then spells it asks me to deisgnate my Mage as the caster for the paladins target, asign a key and select the spell i want to fire off and name and save the whole thing.

I am unable to import spells lists for some reason for any toon and i tried to update from the database but have no idea where that is located? In short my hotkey for the Mage does not fire anything while the paladin is attacking something. I know it must be something really simple that I am doing wrong so I came here to beg/ask/plead for advice as I really do want this to work. Any ideas guys? Really confused at the moment.
Thanks in advance for any advice. :)

Hi I suggest you try

Hi

I suggest you try broadcast with FTL mode initially - it's easier to set up. (click system / mode and select broadcast with FTL)

With that you bind a key, say F1, to an attack on each character. Do this in WoW key binds as usual.

You then F1 on the key mimic until it turns orange.

Now target the mob and press F1 - whichever window you have the mouse over will copy it's target to the other, then they will both do the attack.

For healing, set up macros (e.g. cast [target=MyMage] Lesser Heal) and bind it to a key (say F6). Now click on F6 on the key mimic until it is yellow (yellow keys don't copy the target, which is fine for a macro which contains a target). on the other toon, make sure F6 isn't bound.

Now when you press the F6 key, only the character with the binding will cast, and the target is preset, so you don't need to click on your mage to heal.

Once you've done a bit of multiboxing like this, it's time to move to more advanced stuff, but initially I'd advise that you keep it simple.

Hope this helps
Phil
