Is this thing in the middle with my name and groups name from this program? I never saw it before... If so how do i get rid of it? or move it. it annoys me.

Also, I need some advise on how to link EVERY key to the other WoW window. It seems like it doesnt jump when i do, and when i try to set it to that it doesnt work. Any advise on how to do something like this? Thanks!

How to configure the GCP UI

Hi

Answer 1

Type /gcp config to get a screen which allows you to turn on/off interface elements.

Type /gcp lock once to move them, and again to lock them

There is a document on our wiki here

Answer 2

You probably don't really want every key to be transmitted. Just the spell ones. For movement you need to use follow ( transmitting moment keys will lose synchronization) - see an explanation here

GCP has default processing for keys you don't bind. See here

Thanks bud for your help. *updated*

Thanks bud for your help. one more problem. It seems like i can't get the keys to actually bind to eachother so when i use them on one it works on the other. I looked through the documents and cant understand why it isnt working.

Could you explain a little

Could you explain a little more - I'm slightly confused by this.

Here's what should happen.

I suggest that you use "broadcast with FTL" mode. You can click "Mode" or "system/mode" to change it.

Pick a key (say F1) and make sure it is bound to a spell, within WoW, on each character.
Bring up the key mimic (view/keys) and click F1 until the key is orange.

On both screens type "/rl" in the chat window. - this is like a reboot for the GCP mod (actually for all mods)
Make sure GCP is active (active checked and green) but is NOT in broadcast mode (this is a special mode which disables standard functions - it is normally bound to pgup)

Now target a mob (or target dummy) on one of the characters, make sure the mouse is over the character with the target and press F1.
The target should be copied to the other character(s), then GCP will send F1 to both characters which should cause them to cast.

Could you follow this process and tell me what happens?

Thanks
Phil

Ok I have tried what you said, it still is only working to an extent. For example.. I can hit numbers 1-0 and it appears to be alright. BUT if I hit - or = it does not work. And they are correct on the key bindings. Also, It appears as if i cant make one character follow the other. I have to be on the "main" character to make the other follow and can not do it the other way around. After playing with it for a while it seems Like I have to make 2 windows that dont fully overlap and the follow will work. Now my only problem seems to be this - and = not working. I am very boggled by it myself considering 1234567890 work.

another thing ive noticed is
If I hold CNTRL and use WSDA etc.. or the space bar it isnt jumping or moving the other character. which I thought was supposed to happen.
I tried doing the /rl no avail.

When I do identify it seems like 1 is green(main) the other is yellow(not main) ( I am not sure if that matters but)

Thanks again.

Hi Nearly there I

Hi

Nearly there I think!

Try using shift rather than control to move your alt(s).

Is the GCP mod running on both characters? - After you log on, if you scroll back to the start for each chat window, you should see a message like "xxx commands loaded"

If you don't see that, then make sure that the GameCommanderPro mod is enabled in the WoW addons screen for both of your characters. - This could explain the follow issue.

The green and yellow names should change as you mouse over each window. - The green is the current "master" as GCP sees it.

thanks phil :)
that seems to have fixed the character movement. Still for some reason I am not getting is why the - and = key will not go at all it is very strange. it does work in full broadcast mode (where it copies the mouse and w,swed keys ) but not with the other mode.
